I performed my first cremation service in 1997 while still an apprentice at a funeral home in Michigan. My employer at the time did not want to discuss cremation options with families and I found that very short sighted. Moving along several years, this employer began to see the need to have the "best " cremation service available so he sought out the very most experienced and top notch cremation provider to partner with. This arrangement proved to be priceless, as we became the leader in the market for cremation. My employer at that time always found the most ethical, safest, cost effective way to servce family's needs so he could keep his prices affordable. 30 plus years later, I am remembering this advice and example. I have sought out the most ethical, highly experienced cremation provider in our region to partner with for crematory needs. This partnership allows us to safely and with dignity, cremate individauls up to 700 plus pounds as well as people of all sizes in between. This partnership has also allowed me to keep our prices the lowest in the area of all full service funeral homes. I will admit that I get discouraged when I see the false information out in our communities regarding this valuable service we provide. I get discouraged that people don't just come right out and ask me to provide them with the information they wish to have. I came to the area with one goal and only one goal- take care of people to the best of our ability and be fair. I hope I have done that.
