Albert Ernest (Riff) Riffel Jr., a devoted farmer and rancher with an immense love for nature and family, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026 on his beloved farm . Riff was born in Hillsboro, Kansas on April 22, 1943 to Albert and Verna (Fleming) Riffel formerly of Lincolnville, Kansas. Riff was a lifelong resident who cherished the rural lifestyle and the deep connection to the land that shaped his life.Riff was a Centre High School graduate. He married his high school sweetheart, Carol Ruth (Miller) Riffel on October 14, 1962 at the Hebron Lutheran church in Burdick, Kansas. His career as a farmer/rancher was not merely an occupation, but a true passion. Riff found joy in the rhythm of farming life and delighted in sharing these moments with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Many remember fondly the special rides on the combine he gave to them, numerous camping trips and the many adventures that came with those trips.Riff's generosity and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His love for the natural world was only matched by his devotion to his family, who were his greatest pride and joy.Riff is lovingly survived by his wife, daughters, Jill Henrichs of Dodge City, Kansas, and Gina (Tracy) Ryff of White City, Kansas. His grandchildren include Kyle Henrichs of Dodge City, Kansas, Kody Henrichs of Manhattan, Kansas, Brett (Ashlynn) Muhlig of Herington, Kansas, Peyton Ryff of White City, Kansas, and great-grandson, Emmett Muhlig.He is further survived by his sister, Sue Gutsch of Marion, Kansas, and his brother, John (Julie) Riffel of De Soto, Kansas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who held him in high regard.Riff was preceded in death by his beloved parents.There will be no services at this time.
