Anthony Jacob Schadel

Anthony (Aj) Jacob Schadel passed unexpectedly on June 2nd, 2023, in his home. He was born January 22, 2021. He was the son of Brandyn Schadel and Fawn Schadel (Correia)

Aj lived a short life, but a happy one. He was always smiling and giggling. He loved being with his family and the people who helped him with physical therapy and everyday life. He was ornery, goofy and loving.  He enjoyed playing with his rattles, pulling off his socks, and making others laugh in his own way.

Aj was in and out of the hospital for many reasons. He was born with two genetic mutations which caused neurological issues. For the first six months of his life, he had what seemed to be seizures. He had congenital nystagmus; his eyes could barely focus on anything. He couldn't control his body movements, which led to poor muscle tone. He would get sick more often than his siblings. All of this made him severely delayed and there was no diagnosis yet. Even though Aj had all these issues, he improved so much throughout the few years he was alive. He became stronger, hitting milestones along the way. He was slowly catching up to the other kids.

Aj is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Tony and Judy Correia, Paul and Dadie Johnson, Bob Claar, his uncle, Colton Levi Schadel, and aunt Crystal Marie Leos. He is survived by his parents, his siblings Kayleigh and Christian Pacelli, Hannah, Alex, and Annabelle Schadel, his grandparents, Scott and Pam Correia, Jeremy, and Charity Schadel. As well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

His family will gather with friends on Saturday July 8, 2023, at the Crestview Christian Church (3940 Excel Road) in Manhattan for his memorial service at 1 p.m. There will be a time to share memories of Aj after the memorial service at the church.
