Betty Gene Breising

Betty Gene Breising 91, died on August 19, 2026 at the Covenant Care Senior Living in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on November 21, 1934 in Moundridge, Kansas to Daniel J.C. Gehring and Pearl (Kaufman) Gehring.

She grew up in Whitewater and graduated from the Whitewater, Kansas High School in 1952. She married John Breising on March 16, 1956. Betty was the owner and operator of KBS Motors at 2648 North Arkansas in Wichita, Kansas. She worked there everyday until three years ago and retired at 88 years of age. She was a member of the Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Wichita, Kansas. Betty’s life revolved around KBS Motors, family, church and the hundreds of customers she called friends. They were blessed by her knowledge, kindness, but most of all her teasing, jovial heart. Because of the wonderful albeit ornery, person she was, they gave back to her as much as they got and it filled her heart. She enjoyed working jig saw puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, John; parents and sisters Vera Sprague and Helen Moser.

She is survived by her son Robert Breising of Wichita; brother Bill (Annetta) Gehring of Newton; sisters Neva Arnold of Washburn, Missouri and Mary Potter of Whitewater, Kansas; and many nieces and Nephews.

Services for Betty will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at the Whitewater Community Church at 2 pm with a private family inurnment later in the afternoon.
