Bill (Ernest) Reynolds

It is with deep love and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Bill (Ernest) Reynolds, who passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on June 6, 2026.

Bill lived a life defined by service, compassion, and unwavering dedication to others. Throughout his career as a social worker with SRS and Youthville, he devoted himself to improving the lives of children and families. His work extended beyond his profession through his involvement with CASA and Peace Connections. Countless lives were touched by his kindness and wisdom, and steadfast belief that every child deserved safety, dignity, and love.

A faithful member of his church and an active participant in his community, Bill believed that service was not simply something one did – it was a way of life. Whether volunteering, supporting local organizations, or lending a helping hand to a neighbor, he was always ready to give of himself.

Bill had a lifelong love of reading, learning and sports. His curiosity about the world never faded, and he found joy in books, thoughtful conversations, and discovering something new each day. He shared this love of knowledge with his family and inspired others to continue growing throughout their lives.

Above all, Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 60 Years, Glenda, as well as his parents. Though he deeply missed those who went before him he carried their love with him throughout his life.

  • He leaves behind a legacy of love and service through his two daughters, Tracey (David) Jones and Trisha Macy. His grandchildren Caitlin (Tim) Newsholme, Jordan (Preston) Todd, Trevor (Hailey) Macy, Rebecca (Derrick) Kendrick and Jacob Jones and ten great-grandchildren. All of whom were blessed by his guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love.

Those who knew Bill will remember his gentle spirit, generous heart, quiet strength, and enduring commitment to helping others. His life stands as a testament to the difference one person can make through compassion, faith, and selfless service.

He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:3
