Carolyn had a smile for the world. After meeting Carolyn, you knew that she was a child of God. She was a strong prayer warrior. She spent a large part of her life cooking at Rock Springs 4-H camp where she was a year around employee. She also blessed her church family with her cooking whether it be a cake or pie, homemade cookies and when it came to covered dish meals her cream cheese corn was always a crowd pleaser. She loved to share her cooking with people who enjoyed eating it!
Carolyn Irene Staatz was born January 3rd, 1949 to August and Susie (Person) Staatz in Flaglar, Colorado. She was one of 13 children.
Due to a health condition, she was sent back to Kansas to live with her uncle and aunt; Herman and Claire Staatz because the doctor didn’t think she would survive in the cold Colorado winters. Carolyn was a faithful member of New Life Church of God in Herington where she served as the church secretary.
