Constance “Connie” Lou Fisher was born October 5, 1944, to Frank Joseph and Ruth Eleanor (Roseberry) Fisher in Chicago, Illinois. Her family moved to Marion Kansas when she was five. Connie graduated from Marion High School Class with the class of 1962. Connie passed on in this life peacefully as a brief resident of St. Luke Living Center.
Connie was a member of Valley United Methodist Church in Marion, and was faithful about attending church, Sunday School, and Bible Study. She loved to sing and was a member of the Sweet Adelines. She was also a member of The Order of Eastern Star, holding local offices and a state office. The loves of Connie’s life were family, music, sports, and especially KU Basketball! Connie also loved horses and clowns and had a collection of each. Connie was employed as a Nurse Aide at the former Marion Nursing Home and the SRS office after attending some business classes in Illinois.
Preceding Connie in death were her parents, Frank and Ruth, brother Jay Fisher and his wife Shirl, niece Dawn Fisher, and several aunts and uncles. Her surviving family includes nephew Michael Fisher of Flossmoor, Illinois, great-niece Leah (Jon) Teper of Naperville, Illinois, their children Mila and Mack, and great-nephew Clark Fisher (fiancée Claire LoCicero) of Naperville, Illinois.
Services for Connie will be held June 10, 2026, at Valley United Methodist Church, 300 E. Santa Fe, Marion, Kansas with visitation at 2:00pm followed by the service at 2:30pm. Interment will follow at the Marion Cemetery. Refreshments will be served at the church following the burial.
Memorials can be designated to Valley UMC, Marion Senior Center, or Good Shepherd Hospice, in care of Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, PO Box 96, Marion, Kansas 66861. Please sign her online guestbook and leave a memory of Connie for her family.
