Frelna V. Crawford

MARION - Frelna V. Crawford, age 71, passed away December 17, 2016, surrounded by her family, at Newton Medical Center, Newton, Kansas.  She was born May 30, 1945, in Norris City, Illinois, the daughter of William and MaryEllen (Carter) Mackey.  At the age of three, she was adopted by Ernest and Gertrude (Rhodes) Mackey.  On February 9, 1962, she was married to Robert Crawford.  She was a Senior Cosmetologist. She later worked for RC Cola and STS Transport. In 2006, the couple retired to Marion, where they spent many hours working on their home.  She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, currently with the Newton Chapter.  She was a Past Matron of the Grandview Chapter in Peoria, Illinois.  She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings and a grandchild.  She is lovingly survived by her husband Robert Crawford of Marion; her children:  Teresa Eads-Luchi of Cut Bank, Montana, Robert Crawford of Georgetown, Idaho, Daryle Crawford of Kansas City, Missouri, David Crawford of Ettersberg, Germany, Donald Crawford of El Dorado, Kansas; ad Andrew Crawford of Danbury, Connecticut; and their families; and one sister Darlene Hoke of Terre Haute, Indiana.  A family service will be held in East Peoria, Illinois, at a later date.  Inurnment will be in the Fondulac Cemetery, East Peoria, Illinois.  Online condolences may be left at www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.

It just does not seem possible that Frelna is gone. She was always so alive in life. We send our condolences to Bob and his family. May God comfort you at this sad, sad time.

My Dad, Ralph Rhodes, and myself would like to let Bob and the family know that we are so sorry to hear of Frelna's passing. We are praying for all during this time.

Sorry to read about Frelna. We had lots of fun at Richwoods high. I think of her often.
