Henry’s life began on March 11, 1941, in Marion.  He was the son of Gottfried and Hannah (Brunner) Keil of rural Lincolnville.  Henry graduated from Centre High School in 1959 and continued farming with his family for the remainder of his life.  He enjoyed the hard work of the farm, and he had a soft spot for his Huskie dogs, first Preston and later Rocky.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lincolnville.  Henry was united in marriage to Phyllis Ann Roberts on Christmas Eve 1987.  Henry is survived by his wife Phyllis; adopted daughter Marci Flanery (Rob Thesman) of Lopez Island, WA, Patty Roberts of Shreveport, LA, Robert Roberts of Halstead, and Roderick Roberts of Halstead; grandchildren Sarah Anderton, Tyler Roberts, and Ashley Jansson; nieces and nephews Jane (Brent) Pigorsch of Lincolnville, Jeff (Tana) Riffel of Lincolnville, and James Riffel of Tampa; great nieces and nephews Karl Riffel, Callie (Cody) Coleman, Kailyn Riffel, Kyle Riffel, Jensen Riffel, and Kara Riffel and one great niece Kendall Coleman.  Henry passed away on Sunday August 6, 2023, at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Hannah Marie Riffel.  Visitation will be Thursday August 10, 2023, at Yazel Megli Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m.  funeral service will be held on Friday August 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Lincolnville.  He will be laid to rest in Lincolnville Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church.  Please sign his online guestbook and leave a memory of Henry at www.yazelmeglifh.com.
