Jason’s life began on March 12, 1964, in Topeka, KS. He was the son of Milton and Catheryn (Weber) Schlesener. Jason attended school at Herington High School. While in Kansas, Jason worked for Donahue Industries in Durham, KS, making El Dorado campers. He also worked in various areas of construction. When he moved to Kentucky, he worked for Tyson Foods. Jason’s real passion was for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He attended Harley-Davidson mechanic school in Phoenix, Arizona, and loved working on bikes. Jason was proud of his 1979 Trans Am, and if it had a fast engine, he enjoyed working on it. He was also very good at rebuilding personal computers. Jason is survived by his wife Janie Schlesener, Daughter Chenoa Schlesener, and sonsJon Schlesener, Jeremy Peckham, and Nathaniel Sweeney. Grandchildren Cody Perkins, Honesty Perkins, Kaia Lauaki, Kuea Lauaki, Caleb Peckham, Skylar Peckham, AlyssaPeckham, Ava Peckham, Bella Peckham, Jaclyn Sweeney; Sisters Lisa Lightfoot, Rachel(Carmie)Hawkins, Brother Greg (Cindy) Schlesener, and nieces and nephews. Jason passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, in Lexington, KY. He is preceded in death by his parents and any other relatives. His family will gather with friends at a later date at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery-Shady Brook for his graveside service. YazelMegli Funeral Home is assisting the family.
