Jeff’s life began on October 2, 1980, in Hillsboro. He is the son of Dana Klassen Riling and James Whisler. He is a 1999 graduate of the Wichita North High School. Jeff worked most of his life in the fast-food industry, working for KFC in Wichita and most recently as a manager at Wendy’s in Hillsboro. He was confirmed and was a member of the United Methodist Church. Jeff had a great sense of humor which he passed onto to his children. He enjoyed bowling with friends, WWE Wrestling, KU, and Laker’s basketball and cheering for the Detroit Lions. Jeff got his love of wrestling and basketball from his grandpa Klassen.  He loved the Three Stooges and Abbott and Costello comedies.  Jeff is survived by his children Grimm, Epona, and Roderic Whisler of Hillsboro, his mother Dana Riling of Hillsboro, his father James Whisler of Illinois, his children’s mother Vicki Whisler of Hillsboro and many friends. Jeff passed away suddenly on Monday February 5, 2024, in Marion. His family will gather with friends for a memorial celebration of his life on Saturday February 10th at 5 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Hillsboro Chapel led by Pastor Margaret Johnson of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
