Jim L Filzmaurice

Jim Lee Fitzmaurice, 74 died on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Marion, Kansas. He was born on June 14, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas to Robert “Rocky” and Velma (Cannon) Fitzmaurice. He married Karen Love and was married for 30 years.

He was employed as a painter for the Wichita Public Schools. He also worked as a handyman, enjoyed working on lawn mowers and spending time drinking beer with his family and friends.

Those who preceded him in death are his parents; spouse Karen and two brothers John and Joe Fitzmaurice.

Those surviving are his sister Paula (Dan) Love of Lincolnville, sisters Mary Jane Morrison of Marion and Julie McMillan (John) of Klamath Falls, OR; nieces Kayla (Travis) Burns, Natasha Love and Ashley Love.

Graveside service will be on Thursday, September 10 at 10 am at the Lincolnville Cemetery.
