Keith Hurst

Keith’s life began on May 4, 1961, in Peabody. He was the son of Alcy J. and Barbara J. (Henderson) Hurst. Keith attended school in Peabody and worked construction for Prestress Concrete Construction for many years. He enjoyed ice cold beer, his smokes, riding his bike, listening to the radio. On Sundays during football season he’d cheer loudly for the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Dallas Cowboys for his sons. Keith also liked mowing for Branden on his riding lawn mower. He always had everyone laughing with the things he said. He is survived by his children Branden (Yahayra) Hurst of Wichita, Chelsea Hurst of Emporia, Mindy Chambrelli of Connecticut, Nicholas Hurst of Emporia and Lauren Ramirez of Gardner; grandchildren Vada, Emberly, Brielle, Liano, Elliza, Armani, Julius, Cecilia, Dyliah, Dellanie and Andrew. His siblings-Randy (Lori) Hurst, Tim (Ginger) Hurst, Teresa and sister in law Lisa. Keith passed away on March 1, 2026, in Emporia. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Joe, and sisters Susan and Vickey. His family will gather with friends on Friday March 13, 2026 at 2PM at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, KS for his graveside service.
