Margaret Frances Stroda

April 2, 1930 — July 4, 2020

Margie’s life began on April 2, 1930 in Pilsen.  She was the daughter of George and Amelia (Neuwirth) Vinduska.  Margie attended parochial school at St. John Nepomucene Catholic School in Pilsen.  She was untied in marriage to Maurice Stroda on August 31, 1948 at St. John Nepomucene Church.  Margie was a lifetime member of the church and a member of the St. Ann’s Altar Society.  She was a mother, wife and homemaker who took great pride in raising her eight children.  Her loving family includes children Tom Stroda of Austin, TX, Terry (Bonnie) Stroda of Houston, TX, Marilyn Stroda of Hope, KS, Bob (Leann) Stroda of Salina, Arthur Stroda of Ramona, Elaine (Randy) Stirn of Salina, Jane (David) Staatz of Ramona, and James (Melanie) Stroda of Edwardsville, KS; grandchildren Jeremy (Wendy) Stroda, Melissa (Josh) Hopkins, Brian Haden, Tracy Haden,  Michelle (Scott) Foutch, Kelly Stroda, Spencer Stroda, Sara (Scott) Smith, Steven Stroda, Christopher Carpentier, Erica (Matt) Bellinger, Amanda ( Grant) Wagner, Evan Stirn, Jennifer (Vincent) Madron, Stefanie, Emily Staatz,  Ashley Smith, Adam, Abby, Allie McClure, and Mallory (Austin) Case; great grandchildren Chad, Josie, Alexander, Kiana, Kaylee, Ryan, Conner, Mathew, Paige, Andrew, Allison, Madylyn, William, Emma, Kade, Apollo, Carter, Jayden, Althea, and Smith; siblings Harold Vinduska of Florence and Kenneth (Bonnie) Vinduska of Marion and many nieces and nephews.  Margie passed away surrounded by the love of family on July 4, 2020.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Maurice, brother Edwin Vinduska and sister Sylvia Morovec.  Friends and family will pay their respects on Friday from 2-7 p.m. at Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Marion.  Private family burial will be at a later date at Pilsen Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in Margie’s name may be directed to the Father Kapaun Legacy Fund in care of the funeral home.  Please sign her online guestbook and leave a memory of Margie at www.ymzfh.com.
