Michael Tomsello

Michael (Mike) Anthony Tomsello, 69, of Herington, Kansas passed away Monday afternoon, February 2, 2026 at his home, with his loving wife by his side..

He was born February 27, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Samuel Anthony Tomsello and Regina (Jean) Marie (Mulligan).He grew up in Southern California and Michigan.

On August 20, 1982 he and Joanne (Jody) Lucas were married in Las Vegas, NV Mike was a Toyota Master Mechanic for many years, before a back injury caused him to change careers and go into truck driving. After hauling hazardous material for a few years, he got into IT work on computer networks. After his back injury worsened, he and his wife moved to Herington, KS for a quieter life style, where he enjoyed going to the local coffee shop for stimulating conversations with friends. He was always willing to lend a hand when someone needed one. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was a cancer survivor.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael and daughter Leann.

He leaves behind his wife of more than 43 years: his sister, Carolyn George of Banning, CA: his daughters Gerri Rose-Villa (Eddie), Michelle DiGioia (Antony) of Las Vegas, NV, Theresa Rubley of Hillsdale, MI; sons Brian Tomsello, of Herington, KS and Bill Poindexter (Ashley) of Sequim, OR; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as other family and friends.

Cremation is planned.
