Monna M. Manes

WICHITA – Monna L. Manes, 77, passed away Jan. 17, 2016, at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater, Kansas.  She was born December 2, 1936, in Villisca, Iowa.  She was the daughter of Chalmer and Gladys (Whigham) Manes.  She was a retired geologist.  She held a Master’s degree from Wichita State University.  She was preceded by her parents, and a sister, Maxown Bates.  She is survived by  a sister, Mary Lou Spencer of Andover; and extended family.  Visitation will be held from 1 – 5 p.m., Friday, at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater.  A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at Andover Cemetery, Andover.  Online Condolences may be left at:  www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.
