Nathaniel’s life began on July 3, 2016, in Tucson, AZ. He was the son of Dawn Rae Peel and Grant Haney. Nathanial had just finished 3rd grade at Centre School. Nathaniel was a bright light with a heart full of love and laughter. He brought joy to everyone around him with his sweet smile, curious mind, and caring nature. He was a loving big brother, a loyal friend, and a beautiful soul who made every day brighter. Though his time was short, the impact Nathaniel made will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished forever. Nathaniel is survived by his brother Matthew Haney of Herington, his father Grant Haney of Tucson, grandparents Paul and Patricia McIntire of Herington and Robert and Anetta Haney of Tucson; Aunts and Uncles April Peel of Herington, Joshua McIntire of Herington, Lela McIntire of Junction City, Robert and Karl Haney of Tucson, Jelissa Haney of Tucson and great grandparents Rick and Diane Skinner of Tucson. He is also survived by many cousins, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and many friends at school and in the community. Nathanial passed away on May 24, 2025, with his mother and great grandmother. He is preceded in death by his mother Dawn Peel, great grandmother Lela Ellard and great grandmother Peggy Sutton. His family will gather with friends on Friday June 13, 2025 at 2 p.m. for his memorial service at Herington First Baptist Church. Yazel Megli Funeral Home is serving the family.
