Norman’s life began on July 2, 1935, in Richland, MO. He is the son of Robert N. and Shirley E. (Oxford) Craft. Norman is a graduate of Latham High School and attended Kansas State University. He worked as a manufacturer’s representative for many years selling agricultural chemicals. Norman served his country during the Korean War era in the United States Navy, seeing some duty on the USS Saratoga. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #401 in Latham, KS, and had been a member of the Hillsboro Lions Club. Surpassing what he learned or worked at or served as, was Norman’s acknowledgment of his salvation through Jesus Christ. His loving family includes his son Steven (Valentina) Craft of Park Falls, WI; daughter in law Jan Craft of Marion; grandchildren Shaun Craft, Aaron (Caitlin) Craft, Adam Craft, Andrew (Akanksha) Craft, and Anthony (Elizabeth) Craft; and great grandchildren Iliana, Gannon, Colt, Steven, Noah, Thomas, Cole, Natalie, and Leo. Norman was received into the arm of his Savior on April 3, 2023, at St. Luke Hospital in Marion. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce Craft, son Rob Craft, and granddaughter in law Jenny Craft. Norman’s family will gather with friends on Saturday April 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Latham Cemetery, Latham, KS for his graveside service led by Pastor Carl Helm. Yazel Megli Funeral Home is serving the family. Memorial contributions in Norman’s name may be directed to Masonic Lodge #401, Latham, KS in care of the funeral home.
