Ronald "Lebo" Lee Shipman

Lee’s life began May 17, 1967 in Newton. He was the son of Ronald and Mary Lou (Slaughter) Shipman. He attended grade school and junior high in Florence and was in the Class of 1985 at Marion. He had been employed by Raytheon (Beechcraft) and had worked for KDOT. He was united in marriage to Amy Hansen on September 15, 2012 at the Christian Church of Florence. He enjoyed woodworking, diamond art, frog hunting, horseshoes, fishing, hunting and especially KU sports. He is survived by his wife Amy Shipman of Florence; children Andy (Abby) Shipman of Broken Arrow, OK, Cody Shipman of Wichita, Andy Hansen of Wichita, Josh Graham of Medicine Lodge, Christina Graham of Medicine Lodge, Danielle Graham of Wichita and Brandon ( Sydney) Graham of Medicine Lodge; 15 grandchildren; his father Ronald Shipman of Florence; siblings Sandy (Chris) Sprowls of Marion, Tammy Bremer of Florence, Ronda (John) Drow of Florence and Jimmy (Jeni) Shipman of Marion and several nieces and nephews. Lee passed away suddenly at his Florence home on May 12, 2025. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Lou, grandparents Elsie Jouanne, Orris Shipman, and Audine Shipman and his close friend Bret Dannenfelser. Lee’s family will gather with friends on Saturday May 24, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Marion Christian Church for his memorial service. Yazel Megli Funeral Home is serving the family.
