Kenneth L. "Ken" Throop

HILLSBORO – Kenneth L. “Ken” Throop, age 80, passed away February 7, 2017, at Salem Home of Hillsboro, Kansas. He was born September 16, 1936, at Watford City, North Dakota, the son of George and Hattie (Stratton) Throop.  He proudly served his country with the United States Army.  He was an auto body technician for many years in Hillsboro.  He was preceded in death by three children:  Tyler Throop, Sandra Throop and Debra Morse.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Evelyn Throop of Hillsboro; two children:  Victoria Galvin and husband Thomas of St. Charles, Missouri, and Jeffrey Throop of Hillsboro; a sister Pearl Birth and husband Gean of Enterprise; a grandson Tyler Morse and wife Shauna; and 2 great-grandchildren:  Shelbi and Mackenzie.  Cremation has taken place.  A private family service is planned.  Zeiner Funeral Home of Hillsboro in charge of arrangements.  Online Condolences may be left at www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.
