Wanda Lee Heinitz

Wanda Lee Heinitz, age 83, of Valley Center, passed away July 1, 2017, at Wheatstate Manor in Whitewater.  She was born December 26, 1933 at home in Castelton, Kansas, the daughter of Guy and Davida (Pemberton) Dickerson. Family was everything for Wanda; in fact, she was known to many as “Mama Wanda” and had more extra kids/grandkids than biological.  She worked as a dietary manager for 30 years in nursing homes and group homes. She was dedicated to preserving her family memories with scrapbooks. She completed over 50 albums with thousands of photos that her family will love and cherish for generations to come. She was preceded in death by two sons David Bachman and Bryon Heinitz, her brother Bill Dickerson and parents, Guy and Davida Dickerson.  She is survived by her husband Dean Heinitz, daughters Jimetta (Terry), Mary, and Lora (Mark), son Patrick, sister Eleanor and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
