OBITUARY FOR – Lois J. Webb, 81

Lois J. Webb, of Shawnee, Kansas, died Wednesday, February 13, 2019. She was born August 22, 1937 at White City, Kansas.  She was the daughter of Carl H. and Amanda (Lawrenz) Kniebel.    She was blessed to be a member of a loving family, having two older sisters, Arlene and Twila, and an older brother, Charles.

Lois was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church of White City, on June 10, 1951. She attended Baxter School, rural White City, through fourth grade.  She graduated from White City High School with the class of 1955.  On April 24, 1960, she married Jack Webb at the Zion Lutheran Church of Latimer.  They were the parents of two sons, Terry Joe, and Corby. 

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Ladies and worked at the Bank of White City before moving to Shawnee, Kansas, in 1985.  In Shawnee, she was an active member of the Hope Lutheran Church.  She worked at the Shawnee State Bank and retired in 1999 from the Mission Bank.  Her favorite hobbies were golfing, fishing, and traveling with her husband.  Spending time with family and friends were very important to her, especially the time with the grandkids.

She is preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene Johnson on March 19, 1974, Twila Theel on October 6, 2010; a brother, Charles Kniebel on January 28, 2016; and her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Webb of Shawnee, Kansas; two sons, Terry Joe Webb of Shawnee, Corby Webb (Linda) of Overland Park, Kansas; and four grandchildren, Madeline, Branden, Alexus, and Jackson.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 23, 2019, at the Zion Lutheran Church of Latimer.  Following the service, there will be a gathering of family and friends for lunch and fellowship.
