Wilma A. Pearson

July 20, 1926 — June 10, 2018

HERINGTON - Wilma was born July 20, 1926, in Brewster, Kansas.  She and her brother, Gilbert, were the children of Raymond W. and Margarete (Hoover) Crumrine.  She departed this life Sunday, June 10, 2018, at the Herington Municipal Hospital. 

Funeral services will be, 10:00 am, Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the Zeiner Funeral Home-Herington, with Father Peter O’Donnell, officiating.  Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Greenleaf Cemetery in Kimeo, Kansas.  Memorials have been designated to the St. John Catholic Church of Herington, or the Hospice of Dickinson County, and they may sent to the Zeiner Funeral Home, 404 S. Broadway, Herington, KS, 67449-3038.

Wilma was a high school graduate and went to school for one year to become a medical transcriptionist.  She worked at a doctor’s office in Chapman, ten years at the Memorial Hospital in Abilene, and retired after working ten years at Fort Riley, Kansas.

Wilma married Claud LaVern Pearson on December 9, 1945, at Fort Riley, Kansas.  They were the parents of two daughters, Claudia and Mary.  Her husband  preceded her in death September 5, 1993.  She is also preceded in death by her brother, Gilbert, and her parents.

She is survived by two daughters, Claudia A. Williams of Herington, Mary E. Shelton of Manhattan; a grandson, Mike Voit, and his wife Catherine of Chapman;  4 great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren.
