Dakota James Engel

Dakota’s life began on April 4, 1992, in Manhattan. He was the son of Larry Engel and Dawn (Pariseau) Bennett. Dakota was employed by Footlocker in Junction City in the shipping department. He enjoyed movies, drawing, working puzzles and animals. He is survived by his parents Larry (Dawn) Engel of Herington, siblings Rocky (Tamsy) Engel of Herington, Randy (Brittney) Engel of White City, and Dayna (Josh) Albrecht of White City, nieces Oakley Engel, Olivia Albrecht and Eliza Engel. Dakota passed away on August 2, 2021, in Garden City, MO. He is preceded in death by his mother Dawn M. Bennett, step-father Stephen Bennett, grandparents Morris and Janice Engel and grandmother Jean Pariseau. His family will gather with friends on Friday August 20, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. led by Pastor Stan Norman. Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Herington is serving the family.
